I want to know alot more about a set of front coil overs.

1. Will they work on a d35?

2. What type of travel will i get?

3. What will it take to do?

4. What type of lift do i get with them?

I have a friend with a kick butt jeep with coil overs, and then when i saw Rick thinking about it i wanted to know more.

Any info would be deeply appreciated.

unless u do almost all offroading it would not be cost effective .....plus coilovers with installation would run over $1500+ drop brackets

Will it work? Yes, it just depends on how much money you want to invest. Coilovers run about $700.00 apiece.
I'm looking into this myself, because I want to get rid of the torsion bars. I don't know what modifications you would have to make, but since you already have coils springs you might be able to put them where your coils were. My situation is a little different in the fact that I have to find a way of making a bottom plateform that doesn't intefear with the CV's to attach the coilovers.

The price of the coil overs are not to much of the problem, but what would the effect be on my d35.

What do you mean the effect? I imagine you would end up with a little more wheel travel, a potentially smoother ride maybe, possibly even a very slight lift. That's with *just* coilovers in place of the factory coils. If you do radius arms, etc. you can end up with oodles of wheel travel and if you get your i-beams cut and turned or widened or both you can have lift and the benefits associated with a widened TTB. It's all in what you're after. I don't know really, but I imagine that if you get a really set of coilovers with a really good spring you could maybe ditch the swaybars and not suffer horrible amounts of body roll.
