Just wondering if anyone knows why the windows roll down from drivers door on my 98 Explorer, but they dont work from any other door. I assume its the switch, is their a fix or a way to bypass it, or do I have to replace the whole switch panel? Or is their another problem all together?

have you got the child lock on for the windows?

Si

What he said. There is a switch that moves side to side that is underneath the 4 window switches. When new, it may have said "window lock" there, but that lettering can get worn off. Its fairly easy to hit said switch and have that happen to the windows. Try it the opposite position of what it is now and see what happens.

Alternatively, the same kind of thing happened on my friends sho. We took the switch out and found that the metal clip that held the wire to that switch had broken, and the wire had come off...so only the drivers switch worked

Im sorry I changed the description. I know its a bad switch, anyway to bypass w/ a jumper or fix by taking apart? I pulled it out and wire is attached.

Well thanks guys flipped the switch several times and "poof" it started working.
