Windsheild Wiper Controls

I just bought a 1991 Explorer and on the way home I used the windsheild washer and the rest of the way home the wipers continued to operate at the very lowest setting, even after turning the wiper switch completely off. Is this anything anyone has run across?

Sometimes my wipers don't want to come on or go off, the interval settings never work, and most of the time the wiper fluid won't work. I just wiggle the switch around a little bit and they'll finally work. A big pain in the A$$, but the combination switch looks time consuming to replace.

i thought i was the only one with that prob.its the fluid,or lack of that really irritates me.its done that from brand new,so iv'e gotten used to it.kind of like being married,you just get used to it.haha
