Windshield Washer - Fuse keeps blowing

Last week the washers (front and back) on my truck stopped working. I started simple and found the fuse was blown. I replaced it and after 1-2 uses and a few days, the fuse blew again. I'm guessing there's either a corroded wire or perhaps a short in 1 of the pumps causing the fuse to blow. So just looking for a point in the right direction on where to start checking wires. I always keep the repair manuals handy for all my cars & trucks, but don't have info on any wiring. Thanks.

ya i would try to follow wires if ya can, has to be a short somewhere, maybe ground wire? u could try using a bigger fuse, might work for right now if your having rain/snow storms lol, never realize how much your rely on your wipers till ya dont have them, my mom went a week with no drivers wiper, i am going on two weeks with no pass wiper lol, good luck, but id try bigger fuse if u are having crappy weather right now

could also be the pumps themselves. when electric motors are getting close to burning out, they tend to draw significantly more amperage. if they are cheap enough, personally, i would start with just replacing the washer pump motor.

o ya 20 bucks aint bad, usualy small crap is the more expensive lol, would that be what is blowing his fuse all the time?

I have the same problem with my '98. I found that it had a bad ground and tapped a new one but I also think there is a short as I periodically blow the fuse. My rear washer doesn't work at all. In fact, my rear wiper works in cold dry air but not when it's warm or damp out. Go figure.
