Windshield Wiper Suggestions?

It was Joe Dirt that mentioned Bar Keeper's Friend:

Okay, thanks! Digging out from that 11.4 inches of snow you got yesterday? Do you still have a lot of leaves on the trees there? We had a mid- October storm a few years ago, got 2+ feet of snow and the trees still had all their leaves and the weight of all that heavy wet snow laying on the leafy tree branches caused the tree limbs to snap off and we lost power from all the power lines coming down. What a mess. I saw your city's snow fall total listed on Fox News today during the weather report. We missed that storm by a couple hundred miles to the east of us. Just cold, frosty mornings here.

What is "Menards"? An auto parts store or grocery store chain? Haven't heard the name before, so I don't think there are any in my area. Thanks though. On the Bar Keepers Friend, I read the product label on it, and it has abrasives in it, so I won't give it a try on my windshield. I'll wait to get some Bon Ami from an Ace Hardware store. We've got a few of those around.

10/4 Menards is a chain like Lowes or Home Depot but on a smaller scale and usually much better prices (but not always). They also carry some groceries and some clothes but not many. www.menards.com

They have pretty much everything.

Yeah, a foot this early is a wake up call. Spent the day getting several buddies furnaces going with their generators since no one has power. The leaves haven't fallen off the trees for goodness sake!!!!!

Oh, they're falling here. I lost my kid in the backyard for about 8 minutes today. He kneeled down to tie his show, a gust of wind hit, leaves rained down, and <poof> he disappeared.

Love the new house, not sold on the leaves yet. :D

Rondo-that is Horrendous!!! Not looking forward to ANY snow...

Joe D-u in tulip land?? IF so, Nice!

Good thing they had generators and you around. I've got one, had to use it a few times too. Most of the leaves are off the trees here, with exception to the Maple trees. They still have most of their leaves. During that mid-October storm I mentioned, I remember going outside the house at mid-night to see just how much snow fell, and because the power was out and no one driving on the roads, it was eerily quiet outside. The only sounds you could hear, were tree branches snapping off in all directions around you. It was quite a spooky sound. Then I fired up the 4 wheeler and plowed the driveway and some neighbors too.

I hate dealing with the leaves more than the snow!

I used to love winter & snow when I was a kid. Now I absolutely hate it!

We have quite a few branches all over the place. So much for enjoying the fall.

I don't mind some snow during winter especially around Xmas, because for me, it's just not Xmas without snow on the ground. The snow helps give an added effect to the Xmas lights on the houses and it just looks better. Believe it or not, I started installing my outdoor Xmas lights yesterday around all the front landscaping and lawn. I do it in early November because I can't take the cold anymore on my hands, getting old thing (arthritis), but I was installing the xmas lights wearing summer shorts, because it was a sunny, balmy 53 degrees here.
On the fallen tree branches from the snow storm, watch out for "widow makers" while standing under a tree long after this storm you just had. I still have broken, dead tree branches falling on to the lawn after a very windy day from the October snowstorm we had a few years ago. They'll hang up in the trees for years before they fall out.
