I tried to get the damn thing off in the rear....no go! So....I sanded, and then used my little artist brush to prime and paint....soon as i can find an agreeable man to get the damn thing off i will spray it with clear and put a new wiper blade on it....the one I have is the original ( 1994) and looks like it's so dried out it will disintegrate the moment I use it. It was always decoration.....never really used it to wipe....just used the defroster.
My next project is all the rubber trim and running boards.....waiting for my PBTR to come in the mail.
Mechanically, it's going in the shop this week for new shocks. Before the wnter I will talk to my mechanic about a radiator flush (wish I had the balls to do it myself...really flush it) and maybe a tranny fluid change. As soon as have the $ i would love to get new rims......love my truck
Give the shocks a go yourself- honestly, they're very easy to do. Drop the spare and you don't even have to jack the vehicle up to do them. 12 bolts total.
joe....i am a woman and altho I can follow instructions I do not have the physical strength to untighten bolts & stuff...if I had a coach next to me who could lend a hand I would be there under my truck with him. I can only wish!
Not bad, if you were going to do it, you'd probably spend 2-4 hours depending on skill, speed, and familiarity. For $200 it's done, not really too bad. What kind of shocks? There are Monroe shocks on Rock Auto for $16-$17 each... They might be buy three, get one free right now. Don't let him have that free money too!
all you need is a longer wrench or a cheater pipe. i used to know a woman that got mad at her washing machine and disconnected it full of water and clothes and picked it up and threw it out in the front lawn. we dated as friends for a while but i was afraid to call out the wrong name if you know what i mean. she stood 6'5" and her daughter stood 6'2" at 12 yrs old. my friends father got cancer so i helped her move to ocean shores and haven't seen or heard of her in years. don't let shops rip you off just because you are a lady. you atre every bit as capable as any man.
