Wireless charging terminated misaligned-2021 Explorer Hybrid

I have an Iphone 13 and no matter how I place the phone in the charging compartment (top of the phone to the passenger seat or toward driver) most of the time charging is terminated due to misalignment or something blocking. I have not been able to consistently charge a phone.

The 13's are probably better off with a MagSafe charger. My wife uses a vent magnetic mount/charger. I don't use the stock charger on my 11 Pro Max because it's too tight a fit. Some people have thick cases and that might be the problem also.

I just am disappointed that none of our phones fit in the wireless charger (S20+ and a S20 ultra) and yes the Ultra is big ... even the + doesn't fit. Sadly a nice feature that won't get used.

Not missing much. Its very slow wireless charging, including Android phones that have fast wireless charging. Honestly, its a useless "feature".

Another absolutely embarrassing engineering design, doesn't except any of the larger phones and phone falls forward disengaging the charge when you hit the brakes.....nice work!

AND there's a ton of space that could have been better used toward the front of the console

IDK, I leave my phone in the front pocket, front of the cup holders. Have it connected it via USB for Android Auto.

Its not in my way or anything nor have to worry about the phone being tossed around. It also charges MUCH faster than the wireless one.

I think it was pretty cool thing Ford did instead of the phone taking up one of the cup holders or needing to put it on a holder.
