Wiring diagram for my audio system

My question is about a dead amp in my 97 Explorer Limited. I have found the amp and sub Amp under my interior trim, in the back. What I am looking for is a wiring diagram that shows me how the whole system is wired in; I want to check if there are any fuses or fusible links in the system. I also need to know how to check both components to see which one is not working. Since I have no bass tone coming from any of the 4 working speakers and not a lot of volume I think it is my main amp, but I am not sure? Any help you could give me would be useful. Thanks

location of power amp

The Power amp is located in the passenger side in the back storage area. It’s just forward of the Sub Woofer.

pretty much you should have 2 harness's goin into youre amp one is the input all youre wires from the head unit an vechile and then a output harness wires basicly connecting the speakers to the amp take that unplug it an test the resistance one the output conectors on the amp if all is good amp is good if no go trace youre wires on the imput harness make sure all power leads are at 10.5 volts an make sure the grounds are showing a solid ground if so then its the amp or an easier way may jsut to be buy an amp bypass kit hook it up if ya got sound its the amp

Please excuse my being a newbe here[/U]. I have two problems w my 97 ex sport radio. First, only my d.side speaker is out. Second, I can't get any AM except static. Where is the ground located for the antenna?

Are you certain that's an amp? Do you have the JBL system? Most the JBL systems I've found have the RADIO there...not the amp. Your dash and rear console are simply control units. The way to tell is easy. Do you have the antenna lead plugged into your dash head unit or the unit behind the rear panel?
