Hello-

I am in the process of hooking up my aftermarket cd changer to my factory head unit but I ran into a couple problems.
I hooked up the antenna cords and have everything wired where it is supposed to go but I can't seem to figure out the red and yellow wires from the changer.
1st question is what exact wires do they connect to on the radio? I have 2 red and black wires, a orange and red wire, and a yellow and black wire - coming from my car attaching to my radio. Which one of these does the red one hook up to and the yellow one hook up to?
Also since these two wires give the power to my radio how do i work it and connect it to my changer but also have it still connecting to my radio for the power?
These may be stupid questions, but I am just learning how to work all my audio stuff and trying to pick it up slowly.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Hmm, I just hooked up a Clarion CD changer in my other car yesterday, so I might be able to help. My CD changer had 3 wires coming out of it. A red one, a yellow one, and a black one. The black one goes to ground, the red one goes to the ignition power, and the yellow one goes to a constant power. To avoid messing with the radio's harness (im not sure why or what the 2 red/ 2 black wires are, I would think they would only need one of each  ) I would just wire the changer to the fuse box. Just find a constant power source for the yellow wire, and a ignition switched source for the red one. Then ground the black one and you should be good to go...Let me know if that works for ya :)

Thanks VairKing for that help.
Sounds like a good idea and maybe more of what they were talking about in my instructions.

Could you maybe tell me more about how I should find the power sources within my fuse box and how should I go about connecting them?
I have never messed with anything in my fuse box so I don't want to screw anything up down there.
Any more details or instructions would be awesome.
thanks!

Help!

Any other suggestions?

:)

figure out which fuse runs the dome light, use that as your constant, and figure out which fuse runs your radio and use that as the ignition .. very simple..

I thought red was constant and yellow was ignition?
