Ok, I have new Xenon Fog light bulbs, H3 85watt. Can I just use the stock wiring there to install them? If so... what do I need to do to install them? They have the wire sticking out the bottom, I assuming just attach that to stock wiring. And also, how do I attach them to the bulb holder? It seems I would have to modify the holder to accept the new bulbs.

Lotsa questions, thanks for the help.

If you just have the H-3 bulbs you cant use them with the stock fog lights. Your stock lights use an 899? type bulb. You can get the xenon bulbs at www.midnightmoose.com
An H-3 bulbe only fits in a light designed for H-3 which the X aint.

Personally, I hate the stock fogs, period. I junked mine a long time ago and got some aftermarket ones.

So I can't use the bulbs? Even if I have to duct tape them to stock foglight lenses?

The wiring doesn't really work to use H3s. You can use them if you solder a ground wire to the metal frame of the bulb and rig them into the lens

Well, I just got a new soldering iron for bday... might as well put it to some good use. The stock wiring will hold for the 85 watt bulbs, correct?

ouch. no, and neither will the housings.
