Has anyone wired to the back of the fuse block? I know some just stick a wire in, but I want a professional look with no wires showing. If anyone has pics post them!

Also will I need to deconnect battery so the airbag doesn't go of??? Read something about you should disconnect battery when working near certain stuff but forgot what

I've done that on my explorer once but it's really nothing major... I just unbolted the fuse block, found the wire I need and spliced into it, that's pretty much it...
I disconnect my battery but not because I'm really worried about the airbags going off but because I'd rather not electrocute myself if I can avoid it :).

How does the wire connect to the fuse block?
Is it one of those crimp/terminal on things

You know the ones you put on the switch.

Are you looking to tap out of an existing circuit for power, or run something new into the panel for a new accesory?

If you are tapping, then use one of those little connectors that slip over, snap onto the wire and splice it to a new lead.

The police use those on all their connections, and I haven't seen a problem with those failing yet.

Thanks crankcase
