I am rewiring some parts of my fuse block and would like to use fresh wires in there. To do this I need to replace the crimp connectors in there that the fuses and relays connect to. Does anyone know where I can get the connectors and tools for this? It's a custom job using an Explorer engine, that's why the rewire is needed. I would preffer not to do splices on the existing wires and want a clean install. There are a lot of unused fuses and relays in there now, so it makes for a perfect place to put the required connections. This is the main engine block I'm working on, and it's from a 95 Explorer.

You looking for something like this?

Yep. I figgured they would look a lot like normal spade terminals. They have some sort of retainer on them, do you know where I can get some and the removal tool?

My company carries a ot of AMP & Ark-Les terminals like the above picture but I'll have to check on the specifications though.

I'll check in my truck to see what they look like today. Now, are you working on the interior fuse block or the engine bay fuse/distribution block?

I'm working on the main engine bay block. The one that has relays and fuses and has "Power Distribution Box" or somesuch on the lid. The diagnostic connector is attached to it as well.

Thanks for the help!

The local pepboys has special connectors for Ford. They are about 3 bucks for a package. They have around 4 different kinds for ford.

Bad news on this end. We don't stock those particular terminal sizes.

I believe distribution box uses mini & maxi fuses.

Try page three on the following link.

The retainer on a terminal is usually a barb that can be pushed down with a small screwdriver.

Sorry I couldn't help more.
