This is kind of sshort notice for you, but there is a run up to the Pipeline(eastern edge of Nicolet National Forest) on the 12th of Oct... HERE is the thread for it... I was checking out your pictures and was wondering where you went wheeling at... I live in Round Lake Beach, IL which is only 10 min from the WIS border... You should drive down for a run at the Badlands in Attica IN.

I saw the post for the 12th. I'm suppose to go camping with the girlfiend and a friend of mine I haven't seen. Doesn't look like they'll let me go wheel'n.

I usually go to the Pipeline or Langlade County. Other than that I go anyplace I find when I'm board, hee hee hee :)

I'll see what I can do on the 12th. Do you guys run CBs? If so what chnnel?

I'm also going prolly early NOV with a buch of big wheel broncos. I NEED bigger tires to keep up and show them the true power of the X.

Won't be able to afford tires until early spring. Looking at BFG AT KOs Just haven't decided on what size.

I've only been to the Pipeline once, but I had a great time... camped for the weekend and wheeled all day long.

I'm not going to be able to go, but if you as DannyBoy, he can tell ya what chan for the CB.

Take a look at some other tires out there, like Futura's or Generals... cheaper and just as good as BFGs. Shoot, look at the Super Swammper TSL radials and TRXUS's! IMHO, BFGs are WAY overrated and overpriced.

Thanks for everything.

This is also my daily-driver so I can't go too off-road. The BFGs looked good all around. But I'll check the others.

Do you know what's out there as far as lifts for a '97. I found one suspension lift for $1500. I don't have that kind of cash, and didn't want to do a BL.

Mine is a daily driver too, and I am running 33x12.5R15 General Grabbers on 15x8 rims. They have 32,000 miles on them and over 15 off-road runs. They are still at about 50% tread. Pep Boys has some nice tires called Dakotas that are a 50,000 mile tire and have almost the identical tread pattern as BFG A/Ts.

I have been running my 3" BL ($124) for almost two years and have had zero problems. I also have a set of Warrior Shackles in the rear 1.5"($60), a Explorer Pro Comp add-a-leaf 1"($26) and I turned my tortion bars up 1.5"(free). In stock form, you can run 31x10.5R15s and with the Tortion twist, warriors and add-a-leafs, you could squeeze 32" tires under her...

Anyone up for the first or second weekend in NOV?

Splashman this is for you

remember I'm 100% stock still.

This is from Langlade County

oshkosh eh? i go to school in ripon, ever heard of it? if you wanna do some mild offroading, id be down

If you go to Ripon College I used to work there. I was a cook for 2 weeks in the Pizza area

My buddy Jeff works there in the PUB.

Say hi.

I don't have the plans yet, I'll keep you posted.

Got any pics?

eh, next time im in the pub ill have to ask jeff about your sploder... nah, no pics of the ex, black limited with a grille guard and tint pretty much sums it up

Don't know where you hit the pipeline. From Oshkosh I take 47 up and hit 55 and 64 in Langlade or take 32 to Mountain. I'm involved with Boy Scouts and there is a camp in both spots.

Langlade county has ATV trails setup. They are wide enought for vehicles and they have serveral lakes. Prolly not a difficult as the pipeline, but very beautiful and many camp secluded sites that are on lakes. We went to a small town/village (Elton) and there was a sign the led you down a gravel road. Then it split several different ways to dirt/mud trails. A lot of water and mud because of all the tree cover.

As far as a next trip is concerned. It looks like the 3rd weekend in November. Had to check with the girlfriend. I'm all about camping. For the non-ruffing it types. There is a nice place with cabins in Lake wood. I'm not sure of the name. Or The Bear Paw Inn on HWY 55 just south of Langlade. From there it's about 30-40 min from the Pipeline. And 15 or so from Elton. If you go up there, and enjoy bars at all. Go to Bob and Joni's on the corner of 55 & 64. If Jeremy is there, drives a big Ford truck. Tell him that either the Boy Scouts sent you or the Midnight Odyssey club sent you.

I don't know why I was that descriptive. Just overly excited to have other X drivers near me and going to "my" places. :D

if you don't already know check out midwest-xplorers.com thats the place to find guys from wisconsin and minnesota etc.

thanks, I've been there before, just keep forgetting to go back.

I know why. I just checked it and most everything they have (link wise) doesn't work. Do you know who's in charge of it? I have a ton of web experience and would be glad to help.

Also, I thought there definition of midwest was different than mine (MI, WI, IL, IA, MN) maybe more.

first off- we need people over there and i will personally see to it if i have to that us minnesota and wisconsin guys get together for some runs (if i can find someone to ride with) and some onroad meets as well.

2nd- if you check the posts in the general forum over there, there are a few threads asking for help to do a few different things, and if you volunteer your help it will be more than appreciated!

hope to see you around here, at that site, and at a future gathering or two

November RUN.

15 - 17th. We'll probably go wheeling on Saturday and maybe Sunday.

I will be starting a new work schedule so I don't know if I'll be able to make the whole weekend, but I'll post updates as I find them out.

Please respond, or e-mail me if you are interested at all in this weekend.

The current plan will be to go to Lakewood, north of Mountain, WI on the pipeline.

let me know if you need more details.
