Wondering about this weird Radiator Setup

Hey guys Luna yet again asking about my truck. So everyone I call to ask for the upper radiator hose and mine on the truck is split in two and has a metal piece in the middle w a sensor? and wire? i’ll put pics w it it leads into the cab and im not sure what it’s for i wanna get rid of it to have the one piece hose and thermostat w a new housing and the second pic im wondering what that is and if my truck needs it cuz it’s just hanging there and i wanna clear up the engine those loose hoses in the radiator hose pic are for the egr i think gonna remove them when i replace the exhaust lol. thanks for the help in advance!

OH **** YOUR RIGHT! I forgot the dude who sold it to me said that he thru the gauge on it but it never worked. haha thanks for that gonna replace this more than likely tmrw and maybe the thermostat and the housing for it if the parts shop has it. Man I love forums!
