I have a 1994 four door with automatic and this weekend I was up four wheeling and I couldn't get it to go into 4 low.
After trying a couple times it finally went in. Then I shut it off later and I couldn't get it back in again.
The light for the 4x4 high is on, but it isn't in four wheel drive. I have the push button on the dash. I was talking to someone that said the little motor that is on the transfer case sometimes will get stuck and you have to take it apart and clean it.
Has anyone done this before or had that apart???????????
Has anyone had this trouble before?????

Have you tried the Hubs??? Do you hear a sound of the case trying to put it into 4x4??? Have you checked the fuses?????

Fuses

Checked the fuses on the trail, but didn't have a tester. Just took them out one at a time.
There is now sound at all when I try pushing the button. I did drive it back and forth in the driveway and Patrick watched the front drive shaft and he said it wasn't moving. That tells me it is in the transfer case not the front end.

I have heard of the t-case having some problems inside of it. I'll also agree that it does sound like the case after you said that it does made sounds.

From all I've read try to reset the computer and try it again. If that doesn't work try this link

Thanks

Leebo,
Thanks for the web sight. I will print it out in case that is what I need to do. I still want to check the fuses and look around a little more, but I think that is what is wrong. I think that is why it slipped out of gear that one time.
