I'm wondering if I can change the bushing in the tail shaft without it being a big ordeal. On some other vehicles like Chevy's they're able to change the tail shaft bushing by just popping out the drive shaft and yoke, then pull the bushing out, pop the new one in.... done in 20 minutes. I'm trying to find out if this is the same with the 5r55e transmission.
Mine has about 1/4 inch of play around the U joint, however the u joint itself is fine. The yoke is flopping all around inside the tail shaft, and it's leaking fluid now as a result. I've also got some vibration in the drive train on the highway.
