I liked my escort...it was a tough son-of-a-gun. Went off road more than my explorer ever has...:D

it happened again...and yet again it wasnt in MY truck. the companies 2wd ranger. and its tires are even more bald then before! =]
was driving down a narrow pathway between a lake and a ditch, and went to avoid a pothole/washout that i knew i would get stuck in... and ironically my tires ended up slipping when i went to turn back onto the trail. which then sent me over the side....and even more embarrassment...

There is at least another 165.4 miles left on those tires! :p:

This is from the SMORR meet a couple weeks ago. After Bronco2guy pulled me out, I made it through in the other direction. The mud was full of rocks though, and as it was all packed into the IFS, I managed to destroy a CV boot within seconds of getting out.

Remember the Ford Fiesta? I use to drive one, it went thru creeks and off-roading in it, it never quit. I think its still be used for getting around the junk yard near st. louis. lol good times.

There are 35s and 6" of lift under there.

Well, there is a little back story on this one. My buddy and I decided to drive from illinois to montana in january, and due to mechanical problems i was having at the time we took his ford contour instead of my ranger. This is in paradise valley, montana, after a night of having a little too much fun at the bar of chico hot springs.

Brian, my friend, decided to take the wheel after i had driven off the road and was doing doughnuts in a field. Keep in mind, it was before sunrise and we still hadnt completely recovered from the night before. Brian started driving, poorly, and all of a sudden we were going uphill. All i can recolect is me screaming NO NO NO STOP STOP STOP before CLUNK! We were perfectly centered on top of a ridge.

After four hours of everything we could think of, packing rocks and branches under the wheels, trying to push it off the jack, me walking two miles up a mountain to a massive log cabin, which we later found out was owned by Jeff Bridges, my buddy flagged down some cowboys in their truck, who decided to hook our tow strap to the rear lower control arm. This, of course, bent the living hell out of it, and caused us to drill though the tires within two hundred miles and leave us stranded in Billings for two days waiting for parts.

The ENTIRE time i was kicking myself for not bringing my truck, which would have had ample clearance to make it over that ridge

Karma is a ***** isn't it? Maybe next time you won't go tearing up some guys field in the middle of the night while drunk.

I'll play along....

I did find a spark plug i was missing under my seat when the water came out. Yep I had water in my cup holders.... No electrical problems just blew 1 fuse for my seat. I went through this before when it was dry, and i didnt realize how much water was actually in it and how much lower it was compared to the other side of the trail. Sure as heck didn't think we got that much rain that day, that's lake effect rain for you though. Soo I had to have my buddy with his K5 lifted up 6 inches with 35's pull me out.... embarrassing. But, it payed off when he got ****y and tried to go through it too. He didnt get much farther than I did, soooo I got to return the favor of pulling him out. Learn from your mistakes right? Haha

Lose a tire? lol

Guess I'll add mine as well... it took a G-wagon and a Cherokee to yank me out of the hole...
