Worth replacing the splash shield?

I have to admit none of my ex's have them, maybe I'll make some, I have a pile of con belt that would be perfect, just what I need another project lol

Late thanks Koda! I recently put mine back on after UCA replacements. Push Pins still holding.

i recently replaced the ones on my 2000 Mountaineer. one was missing and the other torn. i replaced the xmas-tree style push pins with push rivets. this way i can easily remove them when necessary to change spark plugs and ball joints/control arms w/out ripping them again. i didn't like spending the $40, but i don't want all the junk and water getting in the engine compartment.

Are these identical (reverse image) on each side? Looks like they are but I'd like to be sure. I'm gonna' do balls/UCA's on each side next week and since the existing are torn up I figure I'd replace them. Rock Auto has them for $8.10 each.

EDIT:
Ordered these from RA yesterday. P/N's# FO1251145 and FO1250145 (not sure which one was R or L) but the RA CSR said they where different hence the 2 P/N's. $8.10 each less .81cent Forum discount plus $7.51 shipping for total of $22.90. Not bad. Local Grainger here has 5/16" push rivets for $5.80 for a pack of 25. Less than $30 for the whole shebang.

I bought a splash guard on ebay for $16 (included shipping).

And after countless attempts to find a pin/clip to match the original, I found that the 5/16 push rivet is a great fit.
