would shocks for a 2" lift work with a 3 or 4 inch lift?

I ordered heckethorn shocks for a 2 inch lift, but noe im considering 3 or 4 inches, would they still work?

Fronts no, Rears possibly.
 






uh i think they will... you just wont have as much upward wheel travel
 






NO They will not fit on the front. The rears will only fit if you go Spring over. If you try with them still spring under, they will be what limits your articulation, and you will dammage them.
 






Actually it will limit your down travel front and rear. If you just ordered them you can cancel and go longer. After I put the f150 spacers in my front end I bought some stud extenders for my shocks. This isn't the best way, but it is better than having a short shock. It only maximizes what I have and they still don't limit up travel.
 






The rears will work fine. But when you have full droop of the axle, the shocks will hold it up instead of the springs. So really they will work until you really flex the rear. Danny is right, cancel your order and get some for a 4" lift. And get some Bilsteins too. Sure they are pricey but they really improve your ride on and off-road.
 






I want to get Bilsteins for my rear for 4" lift. Do you know the part number or even if they make it?
