MT/R is quickly becoming the standard for the road friendly mud terrains (not swampers/crawlers/etc.) in rocks. From what I've seen and read they are shorter lasting than most of them though. Their mud traction is pretty decent but the tires themselves are tough as hell and look really cool. I think they are an awesome choice.

now are you talking about a Goodyear MT/R that comes on the Rubicon Jeep Wranglers or what? If so those are 16" rims and equivalent to a 31" outside diameter/tall tire
als oif you have stock wheels, they are 15s and wont fit.....

or are you talking about some tire actually called wrangler mt/r

The only thing bad about MTRs is the price. I got 50,000 miles on a set on my old Ranger. Excellent puncture restence. Not to loud.

I love my MT/R's ..Excellent traction on absolutely anything, including snow and ice.... If you can get them for a good price, jump right on them!

I got a set of 32x11.5r15's on my sport this summer and love everything about them. Got them for a great price new, best traction I have ever had on any condition, even ice, and they look awesome. Some guys I work with also run them, one guy has about 60,000kms on his 35's and they still have lots of tread left. Get em if you can, you won't be dissapointed

I don't like them. I'd rather have BFG MTs.

What don't you like about your Mt's Section?

Two things. I went from BFG MTs to these and the first thing I noticed was the on-road freeway driving. The Goodyears seemed a lot sloppier than the BFGs. Secondly, IMO the BFG do 140% better in the snow than the Goodyears. Which is all I really go wheelin in. (Not snow on the highway, I mean 12" in the mountains snow).

Thats the name of them: Goodyear Wrangler MT/R

I really like mine. Good traction, less vibration than the BFG M/T (though more noise) The big question is will I be able to get 60k miles out of them like I did my BFG M/T

There's a reason a large percentage of professional rock crawlers run them.

300$ for a set of four with about 50-60% tread life left.....definitely a MUST BUY!? or a no go
