itz not definite that the wiring will melt. i had xenons on my x for about 5 months with no problems. however, there are people on this board that have had their wiring melt. upgrading to a higher wattage harness will increase light output as well as help with the wiring melting issue.
i too am running the apc super white zenon bulbs and i love them. ran them on my last car too. i have had problems with wiring harnesses on both our exporers, but not from the xenon blubs..it was because we ran aftermarket fog lights straight prom the parking lights....drew way too much power. so, we changed harnesses, switches, and put in a new circuit and relay...problem solved.
i dont know if you can see it int the pics, but i have clear corners with regular yellow-ish bulbs and my blue-tint xenon bulbs in the headlights. when off, they look blue too and i can see much clearer and farther at night, and have never had problems with a cop!
I've had my xenon lights for almost a year, and they are great. The only complaint I have is that after my drop my front end is lower than the rear so the headlights are aimed down. I can still see far but would like to aim them correctly to see better. Does anyone know how to aim the headlights?
I've heard a lot of people get them and have no problems, then otehrs get them and its nothing BUT problems, many of them very expensive when it comes to replacing wiring, switches, relays, etc. that could burn up.
To reaim your headlights you should have a 4mm bolt sticking up or might be down inside somewhere, depending on its position you may just need a 4mm socket or you may need a special headlight alignment tool (ebays the best place to get it) turn it one way it goes up, the other way it goes down.
