I also recommend searching.

I've had it for a while and like it very much. I do frequently drive over an hour at a time though, if you do a bunch of short city trips and have halfway decent stations in your area and a CD player, I don't know how worth it XM is.

Short trips/long trips, XM is great.

However, to get the most out of it, you will want good aftermarket speakers ( and amped sound ), I highly recommend component speakers.

and dont use an fm modulator or tape adapter.
directly connect it through your AUX in on the headunit.

.... or "line in" if you have them.

This will produce the best sound.

Actually, if you have a factory head unit, delphi's FM modulator is real good. the audio quality is really limited to the electronics of the head unit. i'm still researching PAC's AAI (auxiliary audio input) products for the explorer.

Had mine for almost a year now and can't imagine being without it. I've got the Delphi Sky-fi and it works great between the X, office, and home.

it's everywhere you want to be. :D

Thanks for the input.

As for the search I tried
"The search term you specified (xm) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific."

I prob could have tried "satallite" but doubt I can spell it correctly ;)

I have been looking for a replacement 6cd changer (original went to pieces about 1 yr ago) but hated to loose all the console space (the changer is removed). Also I dont often listen to the entire CD so XM sounds like just what I want. and the price per month is less than 1 CD per month.

Thanks again

"satellite"

and try "*xm" or "xm*" in the search engine.
