What's up? I recently bought Alpine's IVA-900 DVD Receiver. For anyone looking to get a dvd player and screen in one, I would highly recommend this unit. Anyway, I'm also considering subscribing to XM. Does anyone currently have XM or have any experience with it?

Also, on another note. Does anyone have a TV Tuner installed. I'm also considering that since I wouldn't want to miss Smallville should I be on the road...

XM is great :)

I love XM and rarely use anything else * anymore ).

I udr the Delphi SkiFi unit feed via Line In to my JVC MP3 HU,

I subscribed yesterday. The setup was pretty easy. So far, I think it's worth it. There are times where the signal drops, usually because of an overpass or trees. But I can live with that.

I got XM and love it. It's great when driving in the middle of corn fields and getting perfect reception. I've only lost reception a few times under big bridges/underpasses. I'm very satisified with it.

Antenna placement has a lot to do with dropped signals. The best place is in the center of the roof, just like a CB antenna. But any spot on the roof is better than the hood or trunk or otherwise.

You should try it in the hills and forests like I have. Let me tell ya...I'm seriously considering a 4' truck antenna to mount on my roof somehow to combat some of these dropouts here. They're brief enough that I think a taller antenna will do well to alleviate 95% of the problem. Usually it's trees in the way, but sometimes hills and mountains to my south (like driving up Killington) will kill reception occassionally
