I have a 2006 4.6 V8 Explorer with the factory tow package. I have been camping with a pop up and wife figures it is time to upgrade to a "big boy" trailer, so the hunt is on.
I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and talking to dealers about the length of trailer my Ex can pull. Weight doesn't see to be an issue as I can pull 7300 lbs and all the trailers I have been looking at have been well under 5000 lbs dry, its the length that is concerning me.
According to the internet forums I am pushing it at 25' but according to dealers I should be ok with a 27' trailer, which would equate to a 29-30' overall length.
