yet another shackle problem

Both top (frame) bolts came right out but the ones on the leaf spring side are fubared.. how did everyone deal with the spring side? I cut the head off and tried to knock it out the back side and its a no go. So I cut the threads off as far down as I could get and tried that way and also a no go. Im soaking it in more pb blaster over night but im really hoping someone has some miracle cure for me.

my spring ones came out. but the frame ones i believe got heated up and air chisel out

I had the same problem when changing my leaf springs. One side came out with no problem. When I removed the other side I took out the top bolt and had the complete leaf spring on the ground. I pounded on that bolt for an hour and finally went to Auto Zone and they had 1 complete shackle with bolts in stock. If I ever had to change leaf springs again, I would buy all the shackles and bolts before hand. Keith
