hey all,
im new to this whole audio scene so bear with me please...
I plan to buy an enclosed subwoofer mainly because this is going to be my first upgrade and i don't want to have to build my own box.
Anyway the question is...
When looking at the specs for a "sealed enclosure with two 12" subwoofers" the site says "power handling: 100-400 watts RMS". Is that power handling mean 100W-400W per subwoofer or 100W-400W total (50W-200W per sub)?
Thanks in advance.

could be either way. look up the model number of the subwoofer and see what it says.

Also, with the two subs in one enclosure I still need a two channel amp right?

It depends on the impedence (ohms) of the subs. Either a two channel or a mono amp.

Guys,
Don't the later Ex's have dual sub speaker and a 2 channel amp?

Maybe the 2002+ models, 93-01's are single 6-8" subs.

The '01 and earlyier have two amps and one 6" sub.

Guys; Simple question but hard to get an answer.Got a dual 06 sub needing as it seems a 2 channel amp for it in a 99 xlt.Would the wiring in a 99 amp-sub suit a 2 channel amp?The sub fits into the 99 sub box perfectly. Also what would you expect if you could get oe to pay for it? Cheers
