You guys can move this wherever you think it belongs,I was just hoping other "posters" would get a chance to view it.
The reason for this post is to commend not only the founder(s) & moderators, But also the members & anyone else assosiated(sp?) with this site.In the last year or so I have been part of a lot of different clubs/message boards including the Lincoln mk8,Corvette,Jeep GC,& the Sport Trac. I've noticed something very remarkable since posting here on the explorer site---Everyone, seemingly every post, seems to be written by the most freindly, down to earth, mature individuals that exist. Maybe I've missed the nasty, mean spirited posts or maybe they get deleted or something but I've never seen any.On every other board I have seen so much bickering, rude comments, etc that you wouldn't beleive. When I sold my 7 year old Mark 8 to buy my new Sport trac, Some on that board acted offended & a few actually made fun of my new vehicle purchase. On the Jeep GC board they seemed to spend as much time putting down other suv's as they did on jeep issues. It was total constant comparisons & an attitude of "mine is better than yours" it seemed.(they have no love of the ford "exploders" either)I've even seen a case or two on the ST board of immature name calling, insults & the like (not too bad though, pretty isolated) But I have not seen ANY of that stuff on this board.I can not believe how good it seems that every one gets along--wheather it's a $3,000 dollar explorer or a $30,000 explorer, everyone is treated with respect and everyone is equal (as it should be).The responses are always positive & helpful, The people seem very genuine & I for one really appreciate it.I'm happy I have an explorer based vehicle & the oppurtunity to interact with such a good bunch of people. (Please note: Not all the people on the other boards were bad of course,There were a lot of good people also.) I just wanted to give credit where it's due & let everyone know it's not taken for granted,The effort is appreciated.
