Zaino testamonial

All I can say is damn. First time I've seen this thread. Your paint looks like chrome, no joke. Exactly what kind of Zaino did you use, any prep work before hand and how long did it take to do the whole truck?

I have seen the results of this stuff for nearly a year now... and I am curious if its worth the money to get it for white paint. I have been using ScratchX with Mother's Clay Bar and then a couple layers of Meguiar's Gold Class on top... would I see much improvement over this method?

Yes.

There are alot of products out there that will achieve the same results. It's all in the process/prep. Zaino is not a magical/mystical product, sorry to say.

I disagree completely.

I have yet to see any other product, using the effort ( or lack thereof ) of Zaino, produce as good a result.

I agree with Al. Other products may give the shine, but not without the effort. Zaino is idiot-proof. Moreover, its durability will outlast anything out there, save Klasse and CrystalGuard.

Al Franklin,

Go over to autopia.org and look up some work by Scottwax, White95max, Mosca, Anthony Orscoe, and many others. They are produces amazing results with products that are alot cheaper. Most if not all pro detailer's could not use products from the Zaino line, it's not cost effective for a pro detailer. Just a couple of years ago Scottwax was doing everything by hand, amazing. Don't get me wrong Zaino is some nice stuff, but there is alot of other stuff out there. There are a few Zainoheads on Autopia, you will feel welcomed.

Thanks, but I shall stick to my Zaino.

I can do a Z2 Pro/ZFX treatment of my entire truck in less than 20 minutes; and it shines like a new penny.

What you guy's need to do is bring up the topic of zaino compared to other products over at Autopia, those guy's will give you the pro's/con's what ever, there are alot of people over there that have used all kinds of products to achieve the perfect shine so to say. Just do it nicely.

Al,

That's great.

Crystalguard Adam? Interesting :D

Nothing stays on my X for more than 3 months and that's only during the winter stretch. I remove and try something differnent about every 2-3 months so durability really does not mean a thing. I have gone thru a few months that I was putting on new combinations on a monthly basis. I enjoy trying new products out. Maybe someday I will trade for some Zaino and give it a try.

Utah
Zainoists are in a cult mode, no changing of minds, next time you wax, try NXT paste wax, is cheap, but it works:)

Well I dont think it will hurt to give the stuff a shot! :D Can anyone recommend me which products by Zaino to get?

There are a lot of products that will produce a shine similar to Zaino. However there are none I have found that will last near as long. As I have stated before if I wanted to wax once a month or so I would probably use NXT. I like it but it doesnt last. Same can be said of most all wax. Thats one of the reasons pros dont use Z. They like the repeat business more frequently.
I notice that most of the people who dont think Zaino is very good stuff have never tried it or have no need for durability as they like to spend their time waxing & expermenting. Not many people who use Zaino go back to something else.

Tried NXT liquid when it first came out, was given some one month before it hit the streets from Mike Phillips. Very nice stuff for OTC product. I really suggest people read the whole thread and do a search over at autopia on Zaino.

Bill,

You could also look at it this way, if it lasts that long how many repeat customer will Sal get. A bottle will last a long time I guess.

At Autopia you can find good and bad opinions about most any product. One thing that all agree on is that the preperation of the paint prior to waxing or useing a sealant like Zaino is the most important step. I also think you'll find theat Zainos longevity is also not disputed. And yes, a bottle does last a long time since it takes about 1/2 oz to do the Mounty.
John, Try it...then talk about it.

Over the last three decades I've used just about every single wax available and for other products that is true. But when I used Zaino, it lasted a LOT longer than that, lasting nearly an entire year of 100 degree Texas summers and crosscountry fourwheeling - after all of that, I could still look on the paint and read the reflection of my neighbor's address numbers on his garage all the way across the street, and rain would still bead on the hood. After a year. I find it hard to believe that it can't do that for you.

Oh, now I understand. You're offering opinions on Zaino, but you've never used it.

Nevermind.

That's what's so cool about Autopia, it's pretty much unbaised.

I might someday, but it just does not fit into my arsenal at this time.
