After reading Zaino’s (http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc ) e-mailed the announcement of the new Z-CS ( Clear Seal ) (http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-CS&Category_Code=Zaino ), a self curing transparent sealer, I immediately placed an order.
It seems to be pricey at $29.95 ( plus $8.95 shipping ) for a 6 fl oz spray bottle and a cotton applicator pad.
This innovative Zaino brew appears to be a panacea for the daily driver by providing up to 9 months of protections per treatment ( Zaino claim ). Not only can it be used over painted surfaces, but also can be used on wheels, plastic, trim and even glass ( and the neighbors cat if the fur ball gets on my truck again ).
Z-CS is a crystal clear almost odorless fluid that is shipped in a 6 fl oz spray bottle. It is VOC free. For the local dumb ass, there is a warning not to take internally.
I applied the Z-CS over a freshly washed and thoroughly dry truck ( that had been Z-2 Pro (http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-2&Category_Code=Zaino ) treated about 6 weeks ago ). Albeit one can apply Z-CS over a fresh Z-2 Pro/Z-5 Pro treated surface, there is plainly need.
Prior to applying I misted a new cotton applicator pad with Z-CS. It is important to use an applicator pad that has not been used with any other product. I lightly misted Z-CS directly onto the panel. The Z-CS was applied to the paint by rubbing one 24 square inch section at a time.
Subsequently the Z-CS was allowed to fully dry. There was no need to wipe off. Drying took about 20 minutes in the 56 F/64% RH Florida weather ( damn cold fronts – I despise winter ). During the drying time, prismatic streaks/splotches appeared on the surface causing me some anxiety. Yet, upon complete drying, the streaks vanished and a striking shine was revealed.
The finished appearance was as nice as a Z-2 Pro treatment. The photos do not do it justice; one must see it to believe it.
To treat the vehicle all you do is apply and let dry. It’s really that easy; really.
Treating my truck took less than 10 minutes. Yes, less than 10 minutes. And it only took about 1/2 oz of Z-CS. At that rate the 6 fl oz bottle will net me 12 treatments. In view of the fact that the Z-CS has a shelf life of 5 years, I should be set for years. Based on the above, the price of the potion ( net $3.24 per treatment ) is not pricey but is reasonable.
I plan to Z-CS treat my truck every 3-4 months. Is that overkill? Probably, however, I like a glistening truck with a well protected surface to battle the brutal Florida sun and salt air.
I shall keep an eye on the durability and make follow up posts.
This elixir is astounding. Try it, you’ll like it. I highly recommend it. Sal Zaino has another winner with Z-CS.

The first picture is before the Z-CS treatment and the second one is after. Again, the pictures do not tell the story.
