Mine was simple!!
I took the suction cups off the bracket that came with it (Escort 9000 something, few years old), bent the bracket slightly and shoved it into the glue that holds the windshiled in place.
The wires get the + and - from the map light power wires.
Stealth install, very simple. Also the detector has a built in quick release so I can take it down easy.
Now you gotta be careful, it will interfere with your visors if you dont mount it far forward enough
