I am going to change my rear differential oil, and would like to know if Amsoil or Redline is the preferred brand. I would probably use Mobil 1, but it is twice the price of the other two.
Also, my owners manual is contradictory on what weight of fluid to use. On one page it states that “all conventional differentials should use regular gear oil”, and on another page it states “that all differentials with 3:73, or 4:11 gear ratios should use synthetic oil”
I have a conventional axel (code 42) with 4:11 gears
