Question about X-Charger

Cant figure out why if the Mustang and Explorer 4.0 are the same and both kits cost the same does the Xcharger use the bigger M90 for the Mustang and the smaller M62 for the Explorer ? Seems like if anything the Explorer should have the bigger blower?

I know you are going turbo, but to answer your question for what I found, the Xcharger comes with the M62. Now I don't know what it would take to adapt the M90, M112 or even the M122, but I am sure it can be done.

I bet the M62 with a Steggy port and decent boost could destroy a stock 4.0

on the ranger board they use a dyi kit from rpcaster to put m90 on there trucks using supercoupe blowers. those seem to work fairly well and some of them are trying to use a m112.

The explorer express kit was first developed for the explorer crowd using the M62 blower. Doug at bamachips did alot of the ground work and the tune.

When the kit was offered to the mustang crowd, I'm pretty sure there was a customer demand for the larger M90 blower, and so you have another kit modified for the M90 along with a bunch of improvements to the original design. I'm sure if you wanted to buy the M90 version that they'd send you what you want. They may be trying to get rid of older inventory from the original design, and if the explorer crowd isn't going to complain about needing the M90, then the M62 is what you'll get.
