is 5.0 driveshaft and transfer case the same as the 4.0?

Ok heres the deal. I have a 97 5.0 that needs either the front driveshaft or transfer case. I found both for a decent price, but they are coming out of a 4.0 explorer. Will the driveshaft and transfer case work with my vehicle or is it the wrong one?

No, a v6 transfercase will not work. I suggest swapping your current transfercase to a manual shift brog Warner 4406 from a f-150. There are many write ups just type it in the search box.

wrong ones. 5L is a AWD, and the front drive shaft is shorter then a 4L
