I have a 2006 Explorer E.B. V6 and I would like to add about 82 more hp to my car. I have been searching every where online for v6 explorer 06-10 performance upgrade parts but cannot find one single site that sell for the v6...if anyone can help here that would be nice

What made you come up with that number? If it was 50 or 100, I'd understand. 82 is just a strange number.

If you want to stick with a v6 then there are some mods you can do but it's kind of pricy.
Headers- I think Gibson makes some for it
Cold Air Intake- any brand with a sealed box that doesn't breathe the engine heat
Cat back system will help add torque
forced induction- turbo, supercharger
An underdrive pully for it would help
I think that the 2006-2010 v6 are about the same as the 2002-2005 v6 so you could check some of the mods in that part of the forum
It all depends on how much money you are willing to spend. but if you are willing to go that far then i would sell the v6 and get the v8 that has that 6speed tranny

the v8 has 292 hp and v6 has 210
292-210=82

Best upgrade (with the goal of 82hp increase in mind) is trading the 06-10 V6 for a 06-10 V8, a better 6 speed tranny comes with the deal too.

I have tried every bolt-on that is mountable on my 2008 v6 (Shorty headers, complete cat-back, high flow cats, CAI) and without tuning I got 0 HP and 0 lb of torque

and with tuning I got 19.8 HP and 24.7 lb of torque

Today I had a second Dyno tuning with KKM CAI

^ good info.

So, Mr. Electrician, you lost torque when you put an intake and hi-flow cats on? That's strange.

it is strange but expected due to less exhaust restriction

but if you look carefully, you will notice that the torque band become wider and last longer

True.

sounds pricey for 20 more horses but i bet she sounds good!

This is a bit late but @TheElectrician, are the high flow cats universal? Because I've heard using universal cats causes the check engine light to turn on; is this true?

The MagnaFlow 46004 cats are universal.

universal cats causes trouble if they were designed for smaller engine displacement

our V6 4.0 has 2 cats, so each one is spouse to be able to handle 2.0 or larger engine.

Well i have a 2003 explorer 4.6 v8 which has three cats (one behind each header and one further down before the muffler) and I'm having trouble figuring out which high flow cat to buy.
