Also, check your local area for a spring shop. I picked up 2 new rear leaf spring bushings for about $10/each. I only needed one, but since the shop was a ways from my house, a spare would be a good idea just in case.

In my case it was called Denver Spring and Suspension.

I'm sure this has already been answered, but are the spring bushings on a 97 ford explorer the same size as a 98 ford explorer?

looking for the same answer is 97 shackle bushings the same up to 2001??

in the midst of replacing mine with DORMAN 722-009 but its not the same as what is in my truck so ran to the computer to look it up

Just slid one in from the outside of the frame in. Seemed to stop at the right point. Going to put the other side in and see if that centers everything

Got both in, seems to be good and even but haven’t gone for a drive. 4 hour job to do both sides with taking my time to burn the old bushings out
