5r55w front pump clearance

Hello all,
Putting my trans back together and i am stuck with the pump clearance. Im measuring clearance with a micrometer. My question is whether this is common with these or my pump is wrong, overdrive sun gear adapter plate not seating correctly... I am no where close to the four different sizes of shims. Appears that I am within tolerance without ANY shim...lol. Thanks in advance for your time

Sounds like the OD drum isn't all the way down, the overdrive sun gear adapter should fully engage the drum.

It might be best to take it apart to the center support and reassemble from there making sure everything is in place.
