1989 Towncar transmission leaking into engine?

right so im thinkin my aunts transmission is leaking ATF fluid into the engine. i notice the oil level is unually high while the trans oil is low ( when engine is cold) then it slips doesnt engage, bad bushing blah blah blah. anyways i looked into it and it has a AOD type transmission but what would i fix on the transmission to stop the leak? i know explorers have the vacum modulator when the diaphram breaks but i dont know if AODs have the same. can anyone enlighten me?

Did you check the coolant to see if any transmission fluid got mixed into it? There might be a leak in the radiator.

ill check the radiator too. i noticed it also seems to loose coolant. so there is a possibility of a leaky head gasket or warped heads

Perform a cooling system pressure test, and a compression test.
