I tried replacing my grill to a black one I bought but couldn't get the grill off. I saw one post about how a guy did it but its not super clear how he removed it. I took off everything on top "super easy" then I tried figuring out how to do the rest. Does anyone know where or how I can find the best instructions without having to take it in somewhere. Much appreciating in advance.

thank you
KG

Welcome to the Forum.
Not sure which post you looked at. Did you check this thread out? http://www.explorerforum.com/forums...w-to-2011-grill-removal-with-pictures.415328/
The Forum has a very useful 'Search' feature (upper right) that can be used to find existing threads. Good luck.

Hey Peter,
Yes I did apparently that is the only one I can find on the internet. I am just curious what size ratchet he used and how he unsnapped the clips. I wish it was more in detailed. It is super hard getting your hands down there to unloose the screws, but I guess it can be done if he did it, I just need to see the details.

thanks for the response.

I was going to suggest sending him a Private Message but the last time the member posted here was March 31, 2015.
Check this one out. Perhaps this member can help. There are a few threads where the grill has been painted.

There are a few 5.5mm bolts that need to be removed. follow the bumper along the wheel well, you should see them.

I ended up just having a auto body guy replace it for 40.00 bucks.. he thought it was going to be easy as pie and said he'd have it done in 20min and go have lunch it will be done.. well 1.5 hrs later hahaha he was like DAMN the hard part was disconnecting all the clips from the grill but taking it off the front end was the easy part. How do I post a photo on this forum without having to use the url?

Here is the outcome... of the grill replacement. I thought about painting it but I ended up purchasing the grill. Thanks for the help guys.

Nope. The easiest way is to take out a $20 Elite membership that also helps support this site. Then you can use the "Upload a File" button. You can wait until Black Friday to see if the Forum will again offer a 2 for 1 membership. You can also use a site like Photobucket to link pictures but those have a habit of disappearing after a while.
