Hello,
I have a 2001 Sport trac. I've seen a lot about tranny isuues on the web. Hopefully someone can help steer me in the right direction for DIY repair!
I had the bands and valve body repaired/rebuilt in the tranny when I bought it used with 90k miles due to slippage when shifting going down the road. It was fine for a year or so, but now it has no power in reverse. The engine just revs up and the truck wont move.
When the engine is cold (when I first start it up) it backs up fine. Once it warms up it will not go. I have been able to get it to go by putting it into 4Low, but now the truck is starting to shudder when I use this method.
Any help or insight would be appreciated!
