- 1999 Ford Explorer
I want to apologize in advance if this has already been asked/answered, I tried searching the forums a few different ways and didn't find this one.
I have a 99 Ford Explorer that has developed a sound like a chain dragging on the ground but I hear it only when I make a rather sharp (or full) left hand turn. It sems to come from the front passenger tire area and someone had suggested the possibility of some "outer (or outside, I don't recall which) bearings" - but he wasn't sure. It occurs whether it's in four wheel drive or not and I can't tell that speed affects it but I am more cognizant of it when I'm coming from a stop...
