Cross mods with Lincoln aviator and mercury mountaineer

I was wondering what kind of cross mods are out there for the 3rd gen Explorers using mountaineer and aviators and there benefits and disadvantages

Aviator mirrors can be installed on 3rd gen Explorers. I did it almost 6 years ago. I started the following post and others have added to it. We still have the Explorer. 05 Aviator mirrors on 03 Limited I have also swapped a Mountaineer gauge cluster into the Explorer. But you to make sure the vehicles were equipped the same (especially AWD vs. 4x4) or warning lights will be in the wrong locations. It was plug and play for me, as I ensured I had the correct cluster- others have tried and it hasn't worked for them. Also, the chrome window trim on the doors is interchangeable.

Aviator front brake swap, if you are running 17” rims.

requires aviator knuckles, calipers, pads and rotors.

you can also add the Aviator reverse sensors for a clean look. Doesn’t matter if you have the sensors now or not.
