I have a 2000 explorer 4.0 2wd automatic.A couple weeks ago the o/d light was blinking but everything was fine.Shut the truck off turned back on the light was out,no problem.Well yesturday i was driving and the trany was slipping and i had stopped to back in my driveway and there was no reverse, then no drive either.I pushed it to park it and left it.went out and started it today and it went right into drive and reverse a couple time then nothing again.I scanned it and came up with p1780 "trans ctrl switch circuit out of range"does anyone know what this could mean? And also with the scanner I tested the solenoids the only thing that looked odd was "solenoid A was "ON" "typical value:OFF.Does this mean solenoid A is bad? Any help would be very much appriciated.Thank you
