Greetings all,
Just picked up an 2012 XLT with 55,000 miles and the tow package. Love the car and plan on doing a lot of camping with a small travel trailer in the coming year.
Noticed that the transmission air scoop under the car is missing. Others in this forum stated that the scoop might only be important when towing--can anyone confirm?
Also noticed that I get a "sawing" noise when the car shifts into 5th and 6th gears. Checked out the transmission tube/brake line rubbing issue mentioned in this forum and it seems that is not the problem. When I switch to manual and run through the gears I get the same noise when going into 5th and 6th gears.
Any suggestions about what might be going on? Want to get it addressed before hitting the road for camping. Thanks!
