2000 Ford Explorer
So I just recently bought a 2000 Ford Explorer, was told it needed a neutral safety switch, before I changed the switch the vehicles started up. After I changed the switch, now I’m only getting a click nothing more, I have no reverse lights but getting power to the fuse and the fuse is okay. Thought it was a bad switch so I bought another one and still the same thing, any thoughts? I’m at a lost

Take a good look at the battery cables; positive and negative, including under the insulation. And how is your battery? Try starting with the headlights on. Do they dim significantly when you are attempting to start?

I just bought a brand new battery, the cables seem fine no corrosion but haven’t tried starting it with the headlights on, I’ll have to try that when I get home
