Please Help!! 5-Speed Problem!

I have a 94 Explorer Sport 5-speed. I was driving down the highway in 5th in cruise control. All of a sudden all gears blow but 4th. It sounds like the linkage is all good and feels as though it's shifting into gear, but no response at all except 4th which works fine. What is the problem??? What caused it and what needs to be fixed. Please help me! Thanks.

I had thame problem with my 91, The trans was toast. The trans needed to be
rebuilt. sounds like you lost the cluster gears

like john said...your tranny is toast. Same thing happened with mine. There is a place called Pheonix (do a search for the details) that can get you a re-built tranny for a pretty good price.
