Greetings,
I have a 2005 Explorer XLT v6 with Advanced Trac. It started making rumbling noise yesterday on the way home. I took it into a shop I have been using for the last 4 years. They tell me that they are hearing noise from both the transfer case and the rear differential. They are concerned about the Advanced Trac and suggested I take it to a dealership.
The one thing I find really odd about this is that when I turn left either coasting or accelerating the noise goes away. Other that I hear the noise, but have no loss or delay of power or acceleration.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
Greg
