tyres?

Hi may ask the best tyres to fit a 1999 Northface. The wife only drives on the road, if she goes off road, she is lost?

she not a high mileage driver, but does drive all weathers.

I have seen on the forum that King Pins are ok but the don't seem to do 255/70/16. We are typical working Class so looking for value for money without compromising safety.

If any know who has got a good set going? all helps in the present climate.

I never skimp on tyres and brakes. So I buy Michelin (thanks to Costco) or Conti tyres - I recently bought a set of 4 Conti 'M+S' marked 4x4 tyres and they have been absolutely great.

They do have a road bias, thats what I wanted, as I will never go 'off road' and have found them to grip well, have little to no road noise (AKA: rumble) and been very sure footed in most weathers we have had thus far.

Hi There,

Avon Rangers are an excellent all round All Terrain tyre.
Not too heavy on the pocket either and good on the tread wear....
265/70/16's would work well without any lifts or TT's.
