Michael and I headed out for a real easy run today into the Wickenburg Mountains. There are tons of trails out there to Explore. We were planning on checking out a trail in the Charles Wells Arizona Backroads book, but after missing a turn I decided just to continue on our own and discover some stuff on our own. As you can see from the photos we found some pretty cool old mines along the way and did a little Exploring to boot. After all the mine accidents out East that was definately on our minds as we entered the old mine shafts. Thankfully the only casulty all day was my friend Dallas's cell phone. He had accidently left it on my rock slider when we took off. It fell off and was run over... End of cell phone :( Besides that the day was perfect for wheelin' with temps in the mid to high 60s and plenty of sunshine.

Here's the photos: www.explorerforum.com/wickenburg-1-05

I just realized I had the date wrong on the directory, I'm still in '05... DOH!

See the second horizontal beam that goes across that cover? I stood up too quick on my way out and smacked my head... I was VERY glad the several tons of debris didn't come crashing down on my sorry ass!!

This is my favorite:
