Front Drive shaft now

Dad and I started on my transfer case swap tonight.

The proof is in the pictures-here I am under wrenching the new one in.

Blame the photographer on that one- it is me I promise.
I hope the transfer case rids my truck of the rattle.
It looks like I also need a new drive shaft. Included is a shot of the part number.

My '97 Sport had a bad rattle/clang when I bought it, it was the cv-joint on the front d-shaft. Got a new one and it's smooth as glass... What rattle are you talking about?

I see a good price on a drive shaft, and a uni ball repair kit-

That looks like a seal repair kit, not a repair kit for the joint itself.

I know a place locally that installs new CV heads on the shaft for $200 IIRC. The place is Shaft Masters in Lincoln Park, MI. www.shaftmasters.com They usually have 'em in stock.
