I got it kinda custom. John built my short block. Big bore kit but I added ceramic/teflon coated pistons, and higher compression pistons his kits didn't offer. We used my original aluminum block.

I got the heads from him also, he was just the middle man for Renegade and Fox Lake. I almost went Renegade but they were to booked, so I ended up getting some stage II heads from Fox Lake. John at MP put on the comp cams and assembled the heads and block and sent off the assembled long block. Would and will do business with MP again. GREAT guys.

id like to hit around 400 to 450 at the wheels. Im not too worried about the tranny or transfer case. I have a special plan for them or atleast my buddy does. I don't know if I wanna go sc or turbo tho

It's going to have to wait at least another year (probably close to 2). The wife is due for a new vehicle before she'll even CONSIDER giving me the green light to do something that money intensive to the 03.

I want to be able to hit 350 to the wheels N/A. I've always liked the concept of high HP Naturally aspired V8's. Figure the big bore kit and a nasty cam setup should get me relatively close (or at least be a kickass starting point)

if you go turbo you're going to need to go twin turbo due to the weight of these vehicles.

as for SC's, I know Saleen Series IV and Kenne bell 2.1L clear the stock hood.

But be aware, to hit the numbers you're looking to hit, you may want to heavily consider rebuilding your bottom end.

I figure a year of being deployed and neglecting my mountaineer I figured I would come back and give her some extra lovin. built motor, tranny and boosted. along with e lockers front and rear

nice. I love the big bore kits.

but all that power w/lockers?? iunno man, i'd skip the lockers.
